2025 QB Taegan Logan: Trinity Episcopal (VA)

At 6’0” and 205 pounds, Taegan Logan, a junior quarterback at Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Virginia, is making waves both on and off the field. With a 3.5 GPA, Logan is not only a standout athlete but also a dedicated student.

A Late Start, but a Fast Ascent

Logan’s journey into football began later than most. “I had always played football since I was young in the backyard with friends and enjoyed it, but my parents wouldn’t let me start playing real football until middle school,” Logan recalls. His passion truly ignited during a camp led by Malcolm Bell in eighth grade. “After that, I started to train with Malcolm weekly and take it seriously. When I came to Trinity is when I became all the way locked in on football and started practicing and training very often.”

Collaboration and Training

Training under Malcolm Bell has been pivotal for Logan. “I have had a unique opportunity at Trinity to play under Malcolm Bell as my offensive coordinator, who is also my quarterback trainer,” he explains. This dual role has allowed for a seamless blend of on-field strategy and individual skill development. Additionally, Logan has a rigorous training regimen, including speed training, lifting, and regular sessions with his receivers to build chemistry. Despite injuries that sidelined his baseball career, his commitment to football has only grown stronger.

Navigating Recruitment

Logan's recruiting journey began in his freshman year. “I received my first offer from Georgia Southern. Since then, I’ve received one more from Western Michigan,” he shares. Logan is looking for a college where he feels at home and can grow both as an athlete and a person. While he hasn’t set a timeline for his commitment, the process is well underway.

Overcoming Challenges

The offseason has been challenging for Logan, who has been recovering from a significant foot injury. “This past season I played a little over half of the season with a broken foot and multiple torn ligaments in it. I had surgery after the season and have been in physical therapy throughout the end of the winter and spring,” he says. Despite these setbacks, Logan has focused on the mental aspects of the game and is eager to return to full training soon. “Once fully cleared, my mindset will be 110% geared to the season and working to have a different ending to this upcoming season than last.”

Beyond the Field

Logan’s life off the field is equally compelling. As the eldest of five siblings, he takes his role seriously. “Being the oldest holds a lot of responsibility and means a lot to me. As a big brother, I want to be someone that my siblings can look up to and want to be like, on and off the field.” In his free time, Logan enjoys hanging out with friends, playing video games like Madden and UFC, and is eagerly awaiting the new college football game.

As Taegan Logan prepares for his senior year, all eyes will be on him to see how he continues to develop both his game and his leadership. With his strong support system, dedication, and talent, Logan is poised for a bright future.
